The 'Bleeders' 2008 Album tour has just been annonced for New Zealand with dates commencing on the 28th of February and playing towns such as New Plymouth, Wellington, Nelson, Dunedin, Wanaka, Christchurch and Mt Maunganui with more dates to be announced soon.... so come and check out the new album being played in all its balls to the wall glory.... you aint gonna wanna miss this one!

2006 was a huge year for Bleeders. Their debut album, the anthemic power house that is Sweet As Sin, reached # 2 in the charts, garnered them Best Breakthrough Artist and Best Rock Album at the 2006 New Zealand Music Awards and went on to sell Gold.  The band toured like maniacs in NZ and headed across the Tasman no less than five times at the invitation of everyone from Avenged Sevenfold and AFI to Aussie acts Gyroscope and Behind Crimson Eyes.

The self-titled follow up to Sweet As Sin rejects any notion of resting on laurels. Produced by Clint Murphy and Bleeders at Auckland’s York Street Studios and mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in New York, Bleeders is a return to the brutal vitality that first brought them to people’s attention.

 “This time we want to make your ears bleed” says frontman Angelo Munro, describing the album as a “fresh start”. In a sea of imitators and “watered down shit” Bleeders believe it is time for an onslaught of true, raw aggresion to shake down the complacent masses and the post-emo cynicism consuming current musical trends.

By their own admission Bleeders have more to say and on this, their self-titled second offering, the discourse remains rooted in an honesty and integrity that is typical of the group’s output so far. As Real Groove magazine once said of them, they “lack the sense of exclusivity that confines so many bands to their cliquey pigeonholes... If you buy a Bleeders album [or] go to a show, you’re in the gang, no further questions.”

Just a quick note to let you know that the venue for this Saturday nights show (14th July) in Hamilton has been changed to the Yellow Submarine on Ward Street (not the lane), where there will be an ALL Ages show at 5pm and R18 at 9pm, the show is a doozy with support from Antagonist, Full Nelson and The Chase....... Holla to that.......!

Also we have now begun pre production for album numero 2.... and start recording next week.... so look forward to a much larger and tastier helping of the bleeders in the next couple of months.... mmm mmmm!!!!

Long time no talk, well we have some news for you.......

North Island tour kicks off on the 22nd of June at Phoenix Theatre in Napier followed closely by shows in Mt Maunganui, Wellington, Palmerston North, Auckland and Hamilton, all of which will be taking place throughout the end of June early July..... so make sure you come along as these will be the only shows for a while as we are heading into the studio to record album numero 2....... songs of which you will have the pleasure of hearing in sneak preview form on this up and coming tour...... aren't you lucky! Secondly.......  Album number 2........well we are in the final stages of writing at the mo and its coming along really well,we will be starting the pre pro stages in june and enter the studio from mid july.we cant wait!be sure to keep checking back at our myspace page as we will have constant studio updates etc and we also..may be dropping anew demo track from the album soon!

On the 2nd and 3rd of February there is a punk / hardcore fest being put on at the Studio in Auckland, this event is a licensed all ages gig, so both the kiddies and the booozers can come and enjoy, all in a lovely safe alcohol free and alcohol a plenty environment. Tickets are available now from Real Groovy and Ticketek, where you  can purchase either single day passes or 2 day passes. Just a quick note to let you all know that we are on tour over the Christmas / new year period on the F.T.W Summer Tour w/ Blindspott, Full Nelson and Take the Willing. The first show kicks off on the 29th of December at the Mangawhai Tavern, for a full list of the shows please visit the Tour section. so its been a while since we have updated this site. so much has gone and we have just been flat out. after just getting back from a 7 week stint in oz with gyroscope and avengedsevenfold. we are glad to be home for a well deserved rest for a few weeks. im glad to announce that we have just been confirmed the support slot for AFI on there up and coming tour of nz and australia. this is very exciting news for us. but more recently, we will be heading down to the sth island early october to play our first gigs there since the "as sweet as sin" tour. please take the time to check our shows page for the dates of when we come to your town. nth island dates for early dec will be announced in the next week or so... so stay tight!

- also... if you didnt know we have been nomintated for 3 awards in this year nz "tui" music awards. we are over the moon about this. now with these awards you cannot vote from the public, however... we have also had our video for "silhouettes" nominated for best rock video in this years juice tv awards... please take the time to txt in and vote {details on our myspace site} or log on to www.juicetv.com for more details.

Hey, welcome to the new Bleeders site. It's been a long time coming but we're here. Hit the messageboard here and tell us what you think.

Our debut album "As Sweet As Sin" hits stores on 03/04/06. Make sure you get it with the limited addition DVD available in the first pressing if you wanna see all the Bleeders videos to date and a doco about the making of the album and our last couple of clips. This DVD version will sell out fast so
don’t mess around, get shopping.

We hit the road on our album tour (supported by C4 and Vans - cheers!) in April. Check out the dates here in the tour page.

We will also hit Australia for a tour with Gyroscope in June. Dates will be up soon.
